We are honored to announce that the national jury has selected Amiral Technologies as one of the winner of the 2019 I-Lab Innovation Contest. We are in the top 75 out of the 468 projects in this 21st edition.
The prizes were awarded in the presence of the Minister Mrs. Frédérique Vidal, Mrs. Agnès Pannier-Runacher and Mrs. Emanuelle Wargon but also the Secretary General for Investment Mr. Guillaume Boudy.
This reward is accompanied by a significant endowment to fund our research and development project over the next three years.
Created in 1999, the I-Lab competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation in partnership with Bpifrance rewards the spirit of entrepreneurship. The goal is to detect and then highlight projects based on innovative technologies. It represents a real springboard for startups because it allows them to accelerate their development and put their research to good use. In fact, the winners benefit from financial and adapted support.
For 20 years, more than 400 million euros have been invested to crown the best startups. Result – More than 2000 companies have emerged and their survival rate after 9 years is close to 70%.
Amiral Technologies was selected on the main selection criteria of the winners namely, the innovative nature of the technology, the team and its complementarity, the economic viability of the project as well as the significant potential for development and value creation.
This reward represents a milestone and allows us to launch a vast R&D program over the next three years to solidify and increase the value created by our innovation and launch our large-scale industrialization.
Amiral Technologies recently made several appearances in the media. The press talks about the startup, which continues to gain notoriety for its innovation in predictive maintenance.
First in march, L’Usine Digitale published an article about Amiral Technologies on the sidelines of the IOT, IA and Robotics trade 2019 SIDO event in Lyon. The startup exposed its technology on April 10th and 11th. Katia Hilal, CEO and co-founder clarifies several points in relation to her technology aimed to create “A zero defect and zero fault industry”. She explained the positioning genesis of Amiral Technologies on the predictive maintenance as well as the technical implementation. At the beginning of June, it was Grenoble’s monthly magazine of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Présences which praised Amiral Technologies’ big success. Founded more than a year ago, the startup focuses on the industrialization of its technology, particularly in the fields of transport equipment, manufacturing and energy. We are pleased to welcome Sébastien Le Gall who joins Admiral Technologies’ troops as Chief Technical Officer.
Specialist in Research and Development in Artificial Intelligence and in the Industrialization of B2B software, Sébastien will lead the technological strategy, innovation, development and industrialization of the solution to satisfy the requirements of our industrial customers.
In his role, Sébastien is supported by Mazen Alamir, research director at the CNRS, scientific advisor and inventor of the technology of our startup.
Sébastien has over ten years of research and development in artificial intelligence, including machine learning and deep learning. After having created facial recognition research center, he took the lead of the ID3 biometrics R&D team and participated in the internationalization of his products. He also acquired an experience in software development with the French Army at Masa Groupe.
Graduated from the Insa Rennes in 2008, Sébastien validates his training with a double degree in research in the field of imaging at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.
Passionate about algorithms and new technologies, wishing to launch new challenges, and convinced by the power of innovation brought by Amiral Technologies, he is deeply committed to the entrepreneurial adventure and joins our team.
